AIRWAIR X OUTSOLE

Airwair X is a new conceptual take on the Dr Martens aesthetic. My role was to design the outsole, with the vision to rebuild the icon as if it were designed today. The project focused on incorporating enhanced comfort, cushioning and flex, while exploring a new aesthetic for the 14XX category. The result is one of the lightest, most comfortable and flexible Dr Martens styles ever, with technical design details, while utilising a heat sealed welted construction.
